According to the legend the god Womeus came down to the plains of Boodja one day from his own Olympus in the volcano. What he found was a desolate sight: hundreds of wombats fighting, destruction everywhere and villages in ruins as far as the eye could see. Womeus felt so hurt and angry that fury seized him, and the volcano, blood of his own blood, erupted spewing lava in great quantities. This caused huge rivers of lava to flow across the island and into the sea, dividing the island into three parts.The Wombats remained isolated in the different regions for a long time, thus forming the 3 known clans…
